Our Space Adventure Just Started

1 min reading time

We've come a long way since Yuri Gagarin was the first human to travel into space orbiting Earth. We went to the moon, built an international space station, sent satellites to the farthest corners of the solar system, and set our eyes on Mars. In the near future, a manned flight is planned for the red planet. All of these victories required major challenges and will continue to do so. Taking a spacewalk is still a big problem. Astronauts have to carefully plan every step they take in vacuum conditions. Space travels that can last for months are still a problem. There are many resources required for the crew to survive, and the longer the journey, the more they are needed.

Projects like the EU-funded TIME SCALE or EDEN ISS are focused on solving these problems. The EDEN ISS project is developing vertical and soilless farming techniques in a greenhouse in Antarctica and has already managed to produce 268 kilograms of food on an area of only 12.5 square meters. This concept will be used for the first time in a greenhouse that will be placed in the Falcon 9 rocket and will meet the crew's fresh food needs. The TIME SCALE project, on the other hand, enables European Modular Agriculture techniques known as EMCS to be applied in closed habitats. That's not all - we can sterilize drinking water with the BIOWYSE project, and with the REGOLIGHT project, we explore how we can build space bases with 3D printers. In short, we are more ready to go to space and live on other planets than ever before, and we challenge the universe with every step we take. Courage, hope, and unwavering willpower devoted to overcoming every challenge: Space adventure of mankind takes shape in line with these three principles.

Meet the New Space Series Welder Watches

We designed the new “Space” collection of Welder watches in line with these principles. Featuring aluminum straps, the Space collection is incredibly lightweight above all. The new manufacturing techniques and special materials developed by our engineers made the Space series watches light enough that you won’t feel them on your wrist. In other words, if you take a space trip that is subject to very strict weight limits one day, you can take your Welder Space watch with you without hesitation. Lightness is not the only feature of the new Space series: This collection draws its inspiration from human space adventure and offers very striking designs with vibrant colors. The Welder Space series is doing its part in the space adventure of mankind by letting you challenge life first. You need to start a lifestyle that requires courage first on Earth, and to do this, you must use accessories that will accompany you in every moment of your life. Welder Space watches allow you to achieve this and much more. If you're looking for a watch that you can take into space one day, our engineers and designers have already developed it. Moreover, with the “dual time display” feature, you can see both the Earth and Mars clock at the same time!

You know that we have been using the slogan “since 2075” on our watches. As Welder, we believe that humankind will take its next step in space adventure long before this date. When the calendars show 2075, we are confident that we will have a base on at least one planet. Another thing we're sure is that at least one person on that base will use a Welder watch. We are ready for the future and we ensure that you are also ready with our designs that allow you to challenge life. You can browse our new Space collection at thousands of Welder stores worldwide or on our website and order now.
